CONGRATULATIONS to the FIRST EVER WINNERS of the EVERYBODY EATS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD!!!

Yesterday and Wednesday I was able to give away $3,500 to 7 Mount Clemens High School Seniors. All who are awesome people planning to attend college this upcoming school year. For those that have been keeping up these past 8 months, you may know I decided to create a scholarship. This was a dream I’ve had ever since I was in high school and a response to the U.S.’s social awakening towards institutional racism, spurred about a year ago today. Specifically, the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyed, and the Black Lives Matters protests. In questioning how I could help fight for social change, I decided to start the scholarship up and ask friends, family, and community members if they’d assist. 8 months and $3,500 later here we are. 7 Mount Clemens High School students have received $500 each to invest in themselves and future plans. I can’t explain how proud I am of these students, the community, and myself for orchestrating this entire thing.

To everyone that donated and others who helped in other ways, I DEEPLY appreciate it. This entire thing would not have been to such a grand scale if it weren’t for you all. I’m so fortunate to have so many friends, family members, and community members that care so much about this idea, this community, and making the world a better place. With all of my heart and energy I want to say THANK YOU!!!
