Shout out to our 2023 Everybody Eats Scholarship winners!!!
This year we passed out 10 scholarships exclusively to our very own Mount Clemens High School Students for a grand total of $5,000. Over the previous years only M.C. seniors applied, but this year we were able to award our first ever freshman and sophomore applicants. For 2023 we received the most applications ever submitted by our M.C. students. Although we were unable to provide every applicant a scholarship, as they deserve, I believe this year’s 10 recipients are an outstanding representation of what our diverse student community has to offer the world. On behalf of the Everybody Eats team and our greater community; we will be cheering for all this year’s applicants to continue to strive for the greatness that you continue to show us.
Congratulations to:
Jazmine Grundy

This year in total we raised just over $6,000! Surpassing our goal of $5,000 by an extra $1,000. As stated above, we passed out a grand total of $5,000 through awarding 10 students $500 each. The additional support allowed for us to provide our winners with our second year of EBE swag in the form of new Everybody Eats t-shirts. We also provided a few extra shirts to monumental community supporters, continuous donors, and team members that helped make this amazing program possible. These shirts cost us exactly $500. The final $500 was planned to be awarded to an 11th student who did not claim their prize, nor did any others in our runner up pool. Meaning this final $500 has been rolled over to next year for our 2024 scholarships.

This is the first year we received more applications than scholarships we could provide. This great news shows that our students are feeling more empowered to apply for education based financial assistance, which is why we are here in the first place. With the addition of our freshmen, sophomores, and juniors finally applying, it shows that word is spreading about the EBE scholarship across our M.C. student population. This also means that younger students are realizing the benefits of applying for scholarships at an earlier age, allowing them to receive more financial support, which will put them in a much better position when deciding what they would like to do after graduation.
Donors, friends, family, community members, and everyone else that has assisted in this year’s 2023 Everybody Eats scholarship: I want you to recognize that we have once again turned ripples into waves for a community we all love and believe in. These students are being celebrated like they deserve to be, we are inspiring other young adults to support our community in creative ways, and we are paving the way for individuals to feel connected and invested in places they are now proud to call their homes. If you could see all the beauty behind the scenes like I do, you would be ecstatic for what positive things are going on and are yet to come for the greater M.C. community. With that, I would like to say thank you and congratulations on yet another impactful year!
