Check out our 2022 Everybody Eats Scholarship winners!!! This year I was able to give out 14 scholarships to high school students through the power of this amazing community and team. Our team believes in investing in our up-and-coming young adults and supporting their dreams, passions, and pursuits. This year’s group of recipients comprise a collage of many talents, skills, personalities, ambitions, and so much more. I have been beyond impressed seeing and hearing the work these young individuals have already completed, and I don’t know if I can fathom what accomplishments they may achieve in the future. One thing I do know, whatever you all choose to do I, the Everybody Eats team, and our greater community will be cheering you on and fighting to support other outstanding humans like you.
Congratulations to:

This year in total we raised just over $6,600!!! Surpassing our goal of $5,000 by $1,600. This additional support allowed for a few new features to be added. First, we got our MC winners some EBE swag! I also gifted this swag (EBE t-shirts) to some of the most impactful supporters of the EBE Scholarship. This includes individuals who helped me launch the idea, those who have spread the word inviting others to the EBE team, those who have donated for the past 2 years and are active figures in the community, and those who have assisted in recruiting students to apply for the scholarship. This added up to roughly $600.
Next, we awarded 8 Mount Clemens High School seniors $5,000 total worth of scholarships. Six students won $500 scholarships and two winning $1,000 scholarships.
Of the remaining $1,000, I used $500 to assist in the kickoff of a similar scholarship program for Hazel Park High School students with my good friend/ mentor Dre Thomas. We awarded 5 HP High School students a mini $100 scholarship.
Finally, the last $500 was raised independent of the typical EBE donation method. This was raised by a series of basketball open gyms I’ve hosted and has been supported by friends, family, and the greater MC hoops community. This independent $500 allowed for a last second scholarship to be awarded to a 9th graduating MC student.
Donors, friends, family, and everyone else apart of this Everybody Eats Scholarship community: You have seriously assisted and supported in making this dream larger than we envisioned. To that I say, thank you and congratulations on yet another impactful year.
